Dr. Peter Wushou Chang – EXPERT IN RESEARCH ON: Stem Cells and Cancer. Dr. Peter Chang is a highly accomplished doctor with a diverse background in public health and global health initiatives. He holds numerous positions including Chairman of the Asian Medical Knowledge Association and Vice Chairman of the International Medical Knowledge Association. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Medicine at Tufts University and previously worked as an Inspector in Taiwan. Dr. Chang received his Medical Doctor degree from Yangming University, Taiwan, and completed his Master’s in Public Health specializing in Environmental Health and Occupational Health, as well as his Doctorate in Science with a focus on Radiation Biology from the Harvard School of Public Health in 1988 and 1992, respectively. He also served as a visiting scientist at the Radiation Epidemiology Branch of NCI, NIH, in 2000. He was honored as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, FRCP, in London in 2011 for his continuous work in community and global health. He became an Inspector in January 2018 in Taiwan and has been the Chairman of the Foreign and Overseas Community Affairs Committee at the Taiwan Institute of Control since 2018.
Professor Chang was an associate professor and professor at the Institute of Public Health and Environmental Health Sciences at the National Yang Ming University since 1992. Then, as an advisor to the Ministry of Health in 2002, he became the Director of the Health Bureau in Geneva & Brussels from 2002 to 2009 and the Director General of International Relations Department, Ministry of Health in Taiwan from 2004 to 2007. He also served as the Head of International Department & Deputy Head of Department at the College of Public Health and Nutrition at National Yang-Ming University from 2009 to 2012, concurrently serving as a senior advisor at the National Taiwan University Hospital and Ministry of Health and Welfare in Taiwan from 2012 to 2018.
